The Construction Manager will support the entire Store Development team with all aspects of the New Store Development Process. You will partner closely with Development Managers, as well as the VP, Store Development & Planning. In this role you will be involved with initial site inspections, conduct due diligence investigations, invoice processing, and turnover to Operations.

An employee in this position can expect an annual starting rate between $120,000-$130,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic, locations, and other factors permitted by law.

WhatYouDo:

• Conduct site evaluations/survey visits of new store locations as required, gathering critical information, confirming checklist reviews for the start of all projects.

• Review architectural drawings, preparing detailed take offs for cost calculations.

• Monitor construction schedules based on project critical dates, and lease requirements.

• Coordinate project bid process, review, and ensure all information is properly distributed.

• Monitor construction progress via multiple site visits during project timeline.

• Produce weekly tracking and update reports for team visibility.

• Monitor, update, and communicate weekly budget summaries to the team.

• Manage the change order process in coordination with the Development Managers

• Oversee and coordinate turnover process, including punch list and turnover to Operations, ensuring all items complete.

• Facilitate all Closeout Paperwork, including any Tenant-provided documentation required for our Tenant Allowance, within target timelines.

• Support post-construction coordination with the Facilities team.

Knowledge&Experience:

• Knowledge of lease process and documentation.

• High-level understanding of Construction and Mechanical systems.

• Nationwide market knowledge of construction trade and variables.

• Ability to work and be successful in a fast-paced work environment.

• Knowledge of Procore Construction Management software, ability to learn quickly.

• Strong Communication skills, ability to interact well with contractors, consultants, as well as landlords and internal business partners.

• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

• Integrity and Trust, admits mistakes and is seen as a truthful individual.

• Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working in high volume capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• Minimum 4-6 years of retail construction management experience or similar experience

• Travel required, 50%

• This role is based on-site in the New York City Headquarters.
